seems like axl has his own agenda. slash may want to promote himself but axl and izzy seem to want to let the music do the talking. izzy isn't big on self promo shit and axl isnt either. this may be a stretch but both of these guys have some strong music and a fuck the hype attitude, while putting out music that speaks for itself.... i think axl still has something under sleeve. chidem was good but look at appetite... lots of songs were saved for illusions.

Yes I have been thinkin the sleeve theory for 20 years. I still have hope somehow. CD was really cool, I just have that delusional hope that half of the songs were never meant to be on the album. Though I liked everything, it wasnt that smack in the face I was expecting to really put them back on top. Its a really tough sell to ol time fans or even casual listeners.
I sold my van to some guy down by the river...

Personally I really liked the Album, I think the leaks may have changed what was intended to be on it-but I love the layered melodies-the lyrics are great and I haven't gotten tired of listening to it yet-leaves me wanting more, loving the progressive rock sound of it, and it definitely was a step up and fwd from UYI,just as UYI was a evolution from Afd and Lies-would be great to have some acoustic versions of some of these songs :D
