A reunion starts to make more sense as time goes by. Axl has to ask himself, what does he really want after this tour ends? To finish it, go into hibernation for another four years and come back with another slightly altered line-up to tour the same songs again? Without new material (and I'm guesing there will bever be another studio album from GNR), it will become as hollow as Axl taking the money to get back on stage with someone he's been at war with for over a decade.

What a childish and stupid opinion. "Axl has to ask himself, what does he really want after this tour?!!!" he doesn't need to ask himself what to do next. it all depends on himself and keep in mind that he owe you nothing. and he doesn't need the ex-members to make another record for him.

Like many others on here, I was genuinely excited when GNR returned and it had all these new characters. I was also excited by the prospect of CD. That was a long time ago and now it feels like this tour is the last one needed from GNR beyond having Axl, Slash, Izzy and Duff back together one last time. And, yes, it will sound inferior to what we're hearing at the moment. But it's better to regret something you do than etc...

after 2 VR releases and the recent Slash one, I really understood what a mess could happen to GNR if Axl wanted to follow Slash's musical direction!!

i think its too late now, axl is ridiculously happy with the band he has now and they have all stood by him so id say theres no chance in a reunion happening i think theres a chance they could sort there difference out and maybe talk who knows never say never ever though axl said one of us will die etc..

was nice of him to compliment the album though!

I agree with you that it makes sense. A reunion will happen sooner or later, but the new band does have new material for at least 2 more albuns so until Axl does those 2 albuns, im not expecting the reunion to be anytime soon.
After that though, i believe it will happen

Because some people are never happy, i mean if there was a reunion one day, with say Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steven, there would be some of these guys whining "oh but Matt was a big part of GN'R you cant do a reunion without him" etc etc

What im happy with is this

Axl is putting out his own music

Slash is putting out his own music

Duff is/was doing loaded

And Izzy still putting out Albums


That means more music for Me to listen too

Understand what you're saying, but every time listen to the old albums, i wish this band was still together, and many fans do so too.
Its undeniable that the old band was and is the best of the best, and if there is a reunion in the future it will be a blessing!

Bollucks to a re-union. Some of Slash's new stuff is decent but I'd put my money on it that half the music he said he wrote isn't actually written by him. I know he didn't write the lyrics...but come on. If you've listened to that song 'Gotten' (With Adam Levine) and all those orchestral/string parts...I don't think so Mr Hudson.

sorry but someone wanting a reunion does not make them a tool, while all the members are alive some people will always be waiting and wishing for a reunion no matter how remote, and the media talking about it will always fuel them feelings.

When did i ever stated there was gonna be  a reunion?   What i said was that i have hope that there is a reunion happening sooner or later.I never stated that it will happen! Its just my opinion, its not a given fact!
As for Slash's new album, it sounds great!! I loved it and i can't wait to buy it!
Also if you're a true GNR fan, a reunion its always on your wishes no matter what band is with Axl at the moment, so that makes you the tool!
