Yes the conspiracy thickens. Soon Gnr will be robots and Axl will have exactly what he wants. Seems like having Doc Mcghee in place might actually keep this guitarist around for a bit. Why must you be so inclined to hate? Hopefully him and Axl find a niche, or you can hope for them to fail and continue down this long road of shuffling guitarists.

Seeing Ashba with GNR feels like a morbid placeholder to what could have been four years ago. Anyway, it's Axl's band so I'm pretty sure he can recruit whoever he wants. Nikki Sixx's is nothing more than a androgynous on-off addict, stuck in the hair-metal age who hasn't put out anything worth listening outside of Mötley Crüe.

I really like Nikki. He's been to hell and back, been clinically dead, and yet he's still standing and well regarded in the rock world. For anyone who's ever spoken to him, they would know he's a very sharp guy, extremely intelligent and articulate. So, it was interesting that he was trying to play down DJ's role in GNR.  Maybe he made that comment because he's familiar with  the revolving door of players that have gone through GNR's doors?  Who knows.

It was cool though that DJ spoke up right away.

Until DJ establishes himself and actually puts something on the Gn'R table aside being "that dude with the Slash feel" when they tour he's just filling someones hat.

And its not that I want this band to fail at all. I actually like that they tour every few years now.
