I'm excited to hear this, and also quite sad aswell, knowing the circumstances. From the clip though it sounds like Mike Portnoy has stayed true to The Rev's style.

I bet it will be a very emotional album. I believe I read somewhere that M-Shadows reckons that theyve bought everything to the table- the piano will be back a la I Wont See You Tonight.

I listened to that track (part1) the other day, and its just beautiful, it almost sounds like a tribute to The Rev knowing what we know now. such a shame

i agree actually dude, un needed swearing is always a shame in songs, but i'm happy with h direction of the music, and the drumming

It kinda just seems to never hit top hear, never goes where it should.

In saying that though, I am guessing that this is track one and it basically flows on after this. I'm sure it'll be a good album. Just releasing it in the first place is doing Rev proud. Its such a shame not to hear his backing vocals on this track, he was a great, great talent.

wow not bad at all. I have to say after one listen this is probably my favorite post-waking the fallen song from these guys. raises my expectations of the new album a little bit, but it's such a damn shame he once again is choosing not to scream on this album. maybe he will (I'm an optimist), but this is a perfect song for him to re-introduce the screaming with. If matt only kne how much his biggest fans like myself would love it if he started screaming again I cant help but think he'd have to oblige. Nice song though!! best in years.
