i liked god hates us it was pretty good. any other songs he screams on? im too lazy to listen to em all right now haha though i am excited to hear the album

No other screaming really. A little bit on Save Me, which is a complete mashup of every style they've ever utilized from sounding the seventh trumpet to the self-titled. Overall, after only 3 listens completely through this is definitely my favorite album after Waking the Fallen. It makes City of Evil and the self-titled look they were just a big joke perpatrated on everyone. I mean it really is great. Every song is unique, original, and truly inspiring. The only song that sounds mainstream rock bullshit at all is Nightmare, which ironically, was the first single. btw It's probably the weakest track here, even though it is decent as well and I kinda like it. I'm  not gonna write an official review, but I just gotta say how awesome it is, and makes me TRULY proud to be a hardcore A7X fan again. I don't see how any other album could replace it as album of the year for me. I mean.... can't stress enough how great and heartfelt these songs are. I know the Rev would be proud of what his bandmates have done in his honor.

no I haven't seen it yet.  really don't watch a lot of music videos, but I did see a little preview where a guy was in a hospital bed. just caught a glimpse

yeah, does any1 wish they had re recorded revs vocal when he mumbles, i know its a tribute but its hardly his greatest moment,

save me sounds so dream theater its untrue, this is my fave album of theirs by far

Yeah save me is fucking tits. Probly one of the best songs ever to reach the 10 minute mark in length. It's somerthing special when a song so looong can even keep your interest, let alone seem like it flies by in 3 minutes. which imo that song does.

Really special album. Album of the year for me by some distance.


Save Me is just exceptional. 10+ minutes of brilliant music. But there are so many magic moments (and very sad) on the record it just has to be bought.

Victim is a classic IMO.

Fiction is very emotional, hearing The Rev again, even if it is a little faint, what a talent that man was as a songwriter and drummer.

Its got so much going on, sometimes you're reminded of Metallica, sometimes of Pantera, but to be honest more than anything its a collection  of the varying styles of Avenged Sevenfold.

The Rev will be very proud of them.

PS credit to Mike Portnoy for sticking true to the Rev's style, he did a grand job, as always.

I know how you feel, I got quite emotional in that one I have to admit. It was typical Jimmy really- completely different and unexpected in style, yet completely heartfelt and almost chilling lyrics. It's almost like he was saying goodbye. A really smashing record, fabulous.

some of the songs are growing on me, i think its a pretty good album. love god hates us.
