New album might come out in 2011!

Its not a bad thing though. Its great that they released those songs. And im sure they will release Oh My God, The General and Silkworms at some point. Im not that excited about the general (if it is in fact Checkmate) but im pretty excited to hear a new version of Oh My God and even Silkworms. The only thing i hope for this album, is that it has more rockers than Chinese Democracy. Chinese Democracy had to many slow songs

Yep, I also hope a new album will be heavier in terms of rockers. What I don't understand is the desire for songs we already know. ChiDem had basically three totally new tracks on it. Songs like Madagascar, SOD, Chi Dem, IRS...have been around for almost ten years. I want an album with all new songs. They can release the other, reworked tracks as b-sides. But please not on an album.

That info was given me by MSL. UMG aparently rejected an album from Guns N'Roses in April, which would have been called Guns N'Roses. It was supposed to be the next album, so im not sure if they're gonna release it at this point or in 2011, but i guess eventually they will.

Any information or thoughts on why UMG rejected? DJ said, it'll be Fantastic?!

Nope but i would guess it had to do with management (maybe Azoff with his little plan to have a reunion) or because management didnt want Robin and Buckethead's part. Who knows... or maybe they wanted a more traditional rock album. It could be anything really
