The real question is, do you support legalizing all drugs or just cannabis?  and the follow up to that would be, do you support legalization just because you think weed is harmless, or because humans should be free to make choices about what they put in their body?  that is the true litmus test of whether you took a right or left stance

I think legalising cannabis would be pretty easy. Other drugs... i dont know how i'd implement it, but yes, id support their legalisation. It's all very well being in favour of something but you have to know how you'd achieve it. Cannabis could be easily achieved. Either way, things dont just change over night. small steps and stages is the way forward.

Your second question... Both. I know what you're gonna say though. Drug policy has little to do with giving people freedom of choice. The policies themselves just so happen to infringe on people's civil liberties but the reasons for the policy are different. so placing my view left or right doesn't make any difference to the matter at hand.

i forgot to link the poll in my last post. it's moderately recent - april i think

The problem with legalising drugs imo is drug users want their cake and to eat it too.

How many people are fine with drugs being legal.

Now take them same people and ask them how many of them are fine with their drug use being put on public records for all to see?

Then all the boo hoo, we demand privacy bullshit starts up.

Personally I'm fine with drugs being legal, but if anyone walks down that road they have to do it 100% committed no hypocracy bullshit and trying to hide it, I want to be able to look up their health records and see what drugs they are addicted to or have been....

If you going to give me the why arguement, I'll say why not? You can smoke a crack rock or inject the brown into your body legally but it being public knowledge is somehow damaging? Not exacatly joined up thinking in the grand scheme of things.

Legalizing drugs would ruin Governments "hidden backstage" businesses, so i dont think that will ever happen, but it would be sweet if it did

This doesn't make any sense at all, why would (or should) someone campaigning on an essentially libertarian/liberal issue (the right to do what they want to their own body in private) believe that the entire world should have free access to view their private details?  one point is asking for less state intrusion into people's private affairs, the other is essentially insisting that people do not have private affairs.  The two are polar opposites, it's like saying that anyone who believes the government shouldn't be allowed to read their private e-mails should have to allow anyone who asks to read their diary.  As an argument it's absurdly incoherent.
