Slash and his wife Perla Hudson have commented on the incident Thursday night (June 10) when the legendary VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES guitarist was tackled by a man who had climbed onstage during Slash's performance in Milan, Italy. The guitarist was not harmed, but had his guitar broken and after a few seconds had to stop his solo in the song "Sweet Child O' Mine" until a new instrument was handed to him.

Slash: "What'd I say? Rowdy crowd for sure. But amazing! The guy who nailed me didn't take me down but he busted my poor [guitar]. Ah well, it was a kick-ass rock show in the first order!"

Perla: "The guy came down from the rafters [and] ran up to Slash and grabbed him during his 'Sweet Child O' Mine' solo. Broke the head on the guitar, junior grabbed the asshole [and] they both fell to the floor. Junior hit his head hard and the Milan security did nothing! Kicked him out but didn't arrest him. I love Italy! But fuck those security [and] promoters for doing nothing! Slash could have seriously gotten hurt and Junior did. It's not right! What [are] they there for? As decoration? No they [are] there to protect the people [and] the artists. It's not right."

as you might've noticed from my posts i actually own both the velvet revolver albums and slash's solo album.
plus, i went to see him in amsterdam this month and i actually like his playing and stuff. sooooooo wanna try that again maddy or what?

Slash has reportedly been attempting to play down an attack by a fan during a concert in Italy on Thursday night.

According to WENN, the 44-year-old rockstar was tackled and almost knocked onto the ground after a member of the audience climbed up onto the stage during a rendition of Guns 'N Rose classic 'Sweet Child o' Mine'.

He attempted to continue playing after the fan was escorted away by security, but afterwards found that his guitar neck had been snapped during the assault. The rocker himself did not sustain any injuries.

The reason Slash is a laid back guy is simple. He has just released a successful album where he could finally express himself instead of being behind a frontman telling him what to do and not to do, he has a gorgeous, awesome wife, hes touring the world doing what he loves and hes got 2 sons who he loves to death. the guy has the dream life for alot of rock n roll fans. Hes been lucky with his heart and now hes just enjoying his life doing what he loves.
