This seems like a cowardly man who will end up being a security guard somewhere (ahem Thomasmeadow). Cheers to the cameraman and to the girls who put the cop in this position. It really is a good look into how petty and stupid local law enforcement can be.

Men shouldn't hit women but if a woman steps out of line and gets in a cops face then yeah, she then stops being a women and simply becomes a citizen.

Women have been using that card for way too long (not to say men don't have cards) but they often try and act tougher than they are simply because they've never been put in their place.

I swear if parents simply showed girls how to cook and clean and enjoy that living all the worlds problems would be history.

That is very true, in this particular incident I thought the cop had 3 other options though. Its not up to the idiot crazy lady to respect protocol, its the cops JOB. 30 grand worth of training and a ridiculous amount of tax money should get the public an educated response.

In the end this case didnt hurt anyone but the taxpayer, as I am sure it will be litigated for years to come. The cop should owe the lady a night on the town, but lawyers and bureaucracy will make sure it costs at least 100000 to resolve the dispute.

Yeah, I don't really think the main issue here is the gender of the person he hit, it's that a police officer punched someone in the face.  If he saw someone else doing that in their line of work he'd arrest them for assault.  He's trained not to do that, he should know quite well how to restrain someone that size without having to smack them in the nose.

agree with this. cops should only have to punch when the person is a dangerous criminal. a middle-aged to elderly woman ticketed for jay-walking dosent really fit the bill.
