No new album coming! At least not for now.

Bumblefoot just said on a casual facebook status chat
with the fans that Dizzy and DJ were misquoted and that they do hope
for a new album not that they are making a new album.

Ummm .. Did anyone actually think that an album was coming out after their comments?  If so, I can only guess they were relatively new GNR fans.  For those who have followed the band over at least the last decade, there have been countless times where band members suggested CD was being released long before it ever came out - everything from Tommy's "it's a hair's breadth away" to Axl's "I don't know if soon is the word."   Then, it seems the band members were told to stop commenting on album releases. 

So, when this latest album release comment was posted,  I just assumed DJ was the one who said it  because he wasn't aware of the "rules."  I figured it was just a matter of time before he was set straight and told to retract - which is what's happened now.

lolz...    wtf.   The band members also have stated that they don't want to get people's hopes up so they didn't talk about it as they didn't know for sure.  Its also distracting to their lives .. as many times you have pointed out yourself.  So for the newer GNR fans... this was a fact.

yes he did..     he didn't read his rules sheet and leaked out the information about the new triple album.  So him and his associate Bumblefoot are back peddling now as the boss smacked DJ up pretty good.  It wasn't a misquote you fool - it was a leak of information. In fact DJ didn't actually retract in public...   it was on GNR stationary using invisible ink... see that is why we never actually seen it.  got it?

How could "We would like to make a new record" change into:
"We've been really busy on the road the last years, but we are writing new songs.
As far as I can tell, it will be an unbelieveble good record"

Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

how was she right? it was a misquote, nothing more, nothing less. No big deal. Dj didn't "retract" anything, and there isn't a shred of evidence to suggest there are any "rules" in place. Infact that's been rubbished many times.

And i dont think anyone was holding their breath for a new record, despite the article.

I can't say I know for sure..

But if a person can't see the 'gag order' type of responses and attitude the members fall into they have to be blind.

I don't care though dude. I honestly didn't have ANY hope of their being a new album within the next 5 years.

I don't care if Axl himself tells us a release date.

Its like.. "that old gag" already.
