I would have fought tooth and nail for the 'Guns N' Roses' naming rights and then taken the 'band' on tour.

Having seen Slash play at the weekend at Glastonbury, I can honestly say Myles Kennedy did an absolutely stellar job on vocals. He nailed everything. He is more than good enough to front a Guns N' Roses band.

hahaha...  not really.

I don't think Slash would call it Guns N' Roses if it wasn't Guns N' Roses. A realist knows that Guns N' Roses = Axl's voice + Slash's guitar (+of course the magic rhythm of the other 3). The band seemed more special or sacred to him.

shawn, a realist would say Guns N' Roses is the members listed on their facebook page, its plain as day.  you are just being emotional.

If I was Slash I would never have left GNR in the first place. If I was in one of the biggest rock bands of all times nothing could make me freewillingly leave the band, no matter how much the lead singer would piss me off. They would have to fire me. Then I would have the right to call the singer a dick for firing me. In my opinion it would be pretty silly to expect that the singer who came up with the band name would stop using the name just because I decide to leave the band.
But if Slash is happy and doesn't regret leaving the band, then he made the right choice.
