Why would Axl waste his time putting out a remix album when he could just finish up a new one?
Because he might.
Anyway, I'd prefer to this possible remix project as more of a Bumble-Fortus-Pitman-Brain-Stinson-Ashba-Ferrer-Reed (and whoever I may have forgotten) production, for some odd weird reason. Maybe 'cos ol' Axl (now 47) needs to save his creative chutzpah (sp?) for the NEXT album... he needs space to properly mastermind it and all that.
On the other hand (and perhaps this has already been suggested), a remix album could include some
future tracks - why not(?). And, not only remixing as such but also re-editing with alternative takes and such, like at different tempos, with different instrumentation, etc... Actually, I come to realize that the possibilities for some kind of 'remix' album are huge.
