You should make your tag line something to the effect of "Kov's realism, shattering idealism everywhere."
lol. your posts dude made my day:)
How do you get those deals? I'd love to get in on that :P
I've got a PC, and I don't plan on spending more than 200$ on the whole thing, but to be honest I might, since probably I won't buy everything at once.
For what purpose will you be using said software? Recording live instruments, eg band recording, or electronic music... MIDI, samples, loops... And what about mixing, plugins etc... What are you looking for primiarily, which functions are more important to you?
Live instruments, I just want to be able to record my doodlings in a proper manner.. guitar, bass, vocals.
Scrap the PC and get a Mac. That's the first step.
mooney: have you ever used Logic: 'Mainstage'? i thought about buying Logic because of that for gigging... but I havn't tried it out... recently bought Cubase 5 so it kinda sucks to buy Logic now... know of any other programs that do what mainstage does?
Ive now got an iMac, Logic Pro 9 as my recording software, a Line 6 studio ux2 Audio Interface and I have an M-Audio 61 key MIDI controller arriving on friday. Then after that all i need for now is some good monitors (budget though).
I have almost the exact same set-up. I use express instead of pro it does everything I need it to do and I use a Yamaha MIDI keyboard. Dunno if you got sorted with monitors but these are mine, a good bit of bang for your buck. http://www.amazon.co.uk/M-Audio-Studiophile-Av40-Monitor-Speakers/dp/B000RPT0UE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1291475591&sr=8-1
