It depends completely on who the person is. If it's someone, who I know likes Nirvana for example, then Chinese Democracy is clearly the grungiest song. If the person mostly likes ballads, then This I Love is an easy choice. CITR is a song for the Beatles fans. TWAT for those who love guitar solos...etc
If it's a complete stranger then I'd probably pick Better.

I definitely wouldn't let anyone who knows Guns N' Roses listen to Sorry or This I Love though.. Or scrapped..., or.. Catcher.. or.. hmm.. this sucks.

Catcher.. for a few reasons:
"Catchy" melodic solo
Nice lyrics which has an easy memorable melody line
great breakdown again with an amazing melody line - It just gets to you straight away...

"You were the instrument, you were the one" - Read this and tell me you don't instantly hear it, typical Axl as I know him.. Just great.. !

Before my girlfriend was actually my girlfriend, we'd hang out all the time, and one day she was listening to Pink Floyd. She didn't know much GnR (new or old) aside from what she'd heard on the radio, and I showed her 'Sorry' because I always felt it had a Pink Floyd-ish vibe...

She's been a fan since then :)
