Paul Stanley's (KISS) voice
« on: July 31, 2010, 11:14:54 AM »
Hey guys, I know very little about how the human body works etc but this is something that's been in my mind for a while.

While not unbearable, Axl's vocals in 2000-2001 (to me, at least) were terrible; gone was any form of rasp etc. However come the 2006-2007 shows it was back mostly (albeit there were times it slipped back to a sound reminiscent of 2000-2001) yet now in 2010 his vocals are absolutely amazing one again; he's back in prime form!

So I ask anyone who may know a thing or two if the same could perhaps happen for Paul Stanley of KISS. I realise they have been pretty much touring since 2008-2009 but its plan to see that Stanley's voice is going downhill BIGTIME. His vocals during the Symphony Alive concert were amazing and so were his vocals during his solo tour in 06. Do people think its just a case of he should be taking a good deal of time off to rest his voice and seek some advice from professionals or is it just his time? I would still jump at the chance to see KISS should they come back to Australia but it just saddens me to hear him trying so hard to put on the best damn show he can every gig and his voice just giving way underneath him :(

They were great when I saw them in '08 and this year.

His voice still seems to be awesome.
Dont take this the wrong way Karin but your friends look like they are wild in bed, I mean pure filthy.

They are the ultimate showmen, and by all accounts Paul Stanley still sounds great.

I'm not saying they are not the ultimate showmen because quite frankly they still rock harder and put on a better show then anyone else around, and will continue to do so until they call it (which for the love of music I hope is no time soon). Stanley sounds solid on most of the Sonic Boom stuff they sing live but listen to most of the bootlegs from the Sonic Boom tour...I'm beginning to think now that there may be something wrong health wise (like Coverdale) however Coverdale has said himself that he is back to fine form with his voice having recovered now

It is very high maintenance being a macho yet camp queen/king stud. He already replaced two hips.

I think he is sick or that there is something medically wrong somewhere...after watching some videos of him in 2009 on late show appearances and performances in 2008 there is no doubt. I really hope he gets better...the world needs KISS to show the pansy rockers of today how they're meant to do it!
