it's become "normal" to give axl and the bad bad reviews... it's too easy not too. In fact, the reviewer would get criticized for giving them good reviews.
Sunday 29th August - Leeds Festival
Guns N' F'N Roses

Was at the barrier stage right for Guns. Richard let on to me when I screamed his name (before he had been introduced for his solo) and I touched DJ Ashba when he ran across the barrier. Shit was cash.

The atmosphere at the front was very tepid compared to every other barrier spot I've had and that's a lot. I was kinda bummed by that. People were climbing out mid set out of not being arsed. There was defo a few hardcore though singing every word to the new stuff. Me included, obv. Some girls had a white t shirt with something written on it a few down from me and Axl and DJ kept pointing it out laughing, didn't get to see what it said though.

Oh yeah, Axl's voice during This I love. Hairs on the back of the neck standing up.

Nah, giving New GNR bad reviews is so pre-2007. The journalists who give GNR bad reviews these days are just a little behind on the times. It's pretty sad that journalism seems to have the same "ins" and "outs" as the fashion industry...

There's just so many lazy journalists out there who go with the flow instead of using their own opinion. Or alternatively, some journalists become so influenced by mainstream opinions that they convince themselves that those are the truth.

Axl was in top form Sunday night, he sounded alot better than the footage from Reading! I thought GN'R coming after only half an hour was good, I was expecting at least a 45 min wait. Don't think I'll be visiting the Leeds fest again though, it put abit of a downer on an otherwise amzing night!
Guns for Donnigton next year would be awesome.  \m/

If they were to play Download again it'd be with the original line up. I doubt the current band would get booked as a headliner after 2006. If they headline another UK festival next year it'll be Sonisphere.

Has this whole concert been broadcasted yet? I remember reading last week that it would be on Friday but haven't seen anything on here yet.

^ It was Reading that was going to be broadcast on Friday but they only showed the 4 songs on a loop in the end.
