GTFO.. Robin had charisma. He was a great part of GNR and I loved seeing him on stage. Ashba is good, he'd be better if he didnt butcher Robins TIL solo.
he didn't butcher Robin's solo at all. He wasn't playing Robin's solo.

Yeah, thank god he finally realized the fact that he can't play Robin's and decided not to butcher his solo on TIL and instead play his own.

Dj butchers Robins solos, Robin butchers Robins and Slashes solos. Dj > Robin

Sure Robin had some cool studio work, but his live playing was atrocious.

Maybe,
he can play the Robin's solo but dind't liked it,
and improvised something that he preferred to play on the song.
that is mostly a thing what musicians do, improvise
It's so nice to be normal, to be normal for a change....

Come on guys, don't get into the "who's better" discussions it's just as annoying as the "it's not GN'R anymore".

For me, It's not about "who's better". It's about "Clarifying" some people that Robin and Bucket were amongst the masterminds of Chinese Democracy and their influence on CD in terms of creativity. And again to "Clarify" some people that the two mentioned artists had their own kind and style of stage presence (and without trying to fill an old famous members shoes of course! ;) )

Nah Robin played his own stuff great live. He played the Brownstone and SCOM solos great too. Robin > DJ. DJ sucks. He just looks the part.

he can be a bit sloppy but live he's amazing to watch. Tremendous stage prescence and interaction with the crowd. He went down a strom in Belfast! I loved Roin, was my fav after Axl but i have to say i prefer DJ, having seen them both live. I did really like Robin's playing - kinda odd but had a very dramatic quality i liked, id even say i prefer his playing to DJ's, but overall i think i like DJ more, for the reasons stated above.

Ach it's just the same 4 songs looping on the BBC red button today, I didn't think it would be the full set but thought at least there would be a few more.
