Haha basically. On another note, I disagree with the govt intervention point. I believe greed is the biggest enemy of everything, including capitalism. I understand that greed is a part of capitalism, but I think the term is misconstrued. Greed in the form of capitalism was meant in a way that people will do anything to make as much as they can in order to create competition, I.E. if you dont challenge me then I will take all of the profits. I dont think the point was to make or take as much as you can in order to control the interests of others or force them to use your ideas or creations.

The way our model is working out almost seems like capitalism is only a step towards true fascism.

capitalism is the exchange of money for goods or service.  govt intervention in the free market is how you get fascism.

financially the US is no different from greece, italy, spain, etc etc  except we can print our way out of debt since we're the currency reserve of 60 pct of the world.  steps have been taken to move away from the dollar... accelerated devaluation... inflation... deindustrialization... global depression... austerity

this statement is ridiculous for a couple reasons. one is that in order to grow accelerated devaluation is neccessary. the economy must expand and this is a side product. while not desireable it wont lead to the collapse of the dollar. inflation is occuring, but it is slowing as of late. deindustrialization is indicative of our economic transformation and while not desireable in my opinion, will not lead to economic collapse. just a differently structured economy. its part of the natural growth of a nation's economy by the way. global depression is obviously occuring, but the extent of the depression in the US is so ridiculously overplayed. And the depression is slowly being resolved, and the US economy is recovering. what im trying to say is some of the stuff you said is true, but you are exaggerating it so much to make it seem like its a stability threatening crisis. its not and thats just you being paranoid.

i have to say by the way, people on this forum are way way way too paranoid and way overplay any crisis in america. it wont lead to collapse and quite honestly i feel like alot of the non-americans here partly think so because of the wishful thinking of their anti-america media. not eveybody, just a good amount of people. america is going through a bad economic downturn as is the world. but we arent anywhere close to collapsing and thats stupid to think so.

im not being paranoid 2na its just a fact. not all of it, but alot of european media is anti-american. if i was being paranoid I would say that they are conspiring against us and will eventually destroy our nation. because thats just as ridiculous of a belief as some of the stuff i see on here.

america has a rather poor foreign policy as a whole and this is noted by lots of foreign media. thats not anti-american.

it seems to me a lot of the 'ridiculous' stuff you talk about comes from americans. the idea of america's imminent collapse certainly did.

our poor foreign policy is largely interpreted as poor because we do things like go to war without the approval of the UN. and this is just an example, but why should we need France's approval to go to war? They honestly shouldn't be on the UN Security council. Doing shit like that won't make friends, but I dont think its wrong that we dont spend all the time playing the politics game. Stuff has to get done sometimes, and being a good leader means you have to piss people off sometimes. America does that while many other countries don't.  So its poor foreign policy in the minds of many european media members, but at least in my mind it isnt. And the fact that we don't spend all of our time appeasing the interests of other countries has led to anti-american sentiments which have made your media biased even when we are not doing things contrary to their beliefs. not saying our media is fair and objective by the way, far from it.

for the second part, in this thread what your saying is true, but in others i have seen similar things said quite often. though i gotta say on a personal level, im not accusing you of any of this. havent seen you say anything ive considered crazy or overtly biased. polar is a crazy fuck(at least in this thread) and he is american i get that. i was stating this based on past posts i read.

Its not like im living in a cave waiting for the end, these are just some interesting things to talk about. We could just sit around and say there is no way possible that anything bad will happen so why bring it up.

I dont think its soley because of govt intervention, but rather how its being done. There is a need for checks and balances in the world. Its when the balance becomes corrupt and their greed outweighs what is needed that screws everything up.

Now tie our 2 statements together, greed= lust for more and more though not needed, govt and banks become greedy thus regulating trade and exchanges in an unfair manner which in the end screws the people into forced acceptance of what they offer. Oil is a great example of greed ruining fair trade and forcing people into acceptance.
