the comma is unnecessary. its called an oxford comma, and isnt used before either 'but' or 'and'.

but hey

as for the slogan...its a bit crap on first sight and gets dumber the more you think about it.

Both great, but if I had to chose, I would pick the second.

"Tough times never last, but tough people do"

I love it. Sounds like a tag line for a 1980s post apocalyptic road movie. I'd go with it. Run with the 80s theme too:

edit: Someone fucked with my picture......fixed now.

The second one sounds like a fucking riddle. Or something that pussy Gandhi would say. You don't want pussies and hippies in your gym do you?

That is more like a Max Factor makeup ad slogan which would be used in conjunction with DJ Ashba on a poster
I could wile away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers
Consultin' with the rain
And my head I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain

Go sexy without plastic surgery? Sounds like your advertising ladies belly flattening panties or diet butter.

I'd suggest this look:

It's a strong, "I mean business" look.
Dont take this the wrong way Karin but your friends look like they are wild in bed, I mean pure filthy.

Yes! Snake Plisskin is a true hero. Fuck...this gives me a GREAT idea for a new business venture. A 1980s post apocalyptic gym! You could have the music from Escape From New York blasting from the tannoy system:

Escape From New York Theme (BEST QUALITY)

We wouldn't have proper weights...just breeze blocs and iron bars that you can lift up. And on the treadmill you would have to carry weapons and shit.
