Not a very good review, but I guess it wasn't even meant to be. Just some dude saying his personal opinions.
I love raw dirty rock n' roll too, but I don't want all music to sound the same. Honestly my playlist is so full of raw rock n' roll, that the "too perfect" Chinese Democracy songs really sound refreshing in between.
I hope the next album will be a bit dirtier though.
I disagree with most of what he said, but especially on There Was A Time. Yeah the song doesn't have much energy, but it's not supposed to be an energetic song. It's a song about remembering the past. It's supposed to be a bit slow and dragging. This guy wants every song to sound the same. I just don't understand that. And the guitar solos are phenomenal.
Scraped and Riad aren't that great, but they're not much worse than songs like Anything Goes or Back Of Bitch. In my opinion they're actually better.
And he doesn't like Sorry because Axl talks instead of singing? That's a peculiar argument, when obviously Axl is singing. I guess he has a pretty limited idea of what singing is.
I'm not a big fan of the I.R.S lyrics either. But I can't take his opinions about lyrics very seriously when he calls Back Of Bitch lyrical genius.
It was pretty funny to watch though. At points he reminded me of ginger kid.
