Riots in England
« on: August 09, 2011, 03:24:08 PM »
 :smirk:

What? Did you think I'd let this one sided liberal / European lovefest site off the hook with whats going on in jolly old impeccable England?

So..  whats causing this? I hear it has a bit to do with race? A bit to do with entitlement programs? Immigration?

If one of you jolly old chaps could shed a little light on whats causing all of this madness it would be Iconicly appreciated.. then perhaps we can discuss a few other things and if things are happening for the reason I THINK they're happening.. perhaps we can go over our stances on a few things now that shit has indeed, hit the fan.

Nothing to do with race. People of all creeds and colours have both taken part in rioting and in protecting property.

You can view it in two ways. The panoramic view is that it there is a social underclass that is politically disenfranchised who have taken the shooting of an (armed) youth as a point to rise up. From there it has descended to wanton violence. The small scale view is that it is little more than wanton violence and opportunism for theft. Both are probably a bit wide of the mark.

Give us a thrill then, why do you think it's happening?

Some idiot kids on their school holiday are angry because they can't get the bling they see in hip-hop videos. They've decided to rob it instead. This is all about class: Poor kids with bleak prospects getting angry and breaking stuff. It started at the weekend as a peaceful protest outside a police station to show anger against the shooting of a young black father of four. The police claimed he shot first, but it so happens that there is no evidence of him firing a gun.

I work in Hampstead in north-west London, and it was absolutely insane to see so many police vans driving around and helicopters overhead. If the police can't get a grip on the situation tonight, I think the army will be called in tomorrow.

Hopefully the truth will out, but if you're going round carrying a gun then you take your chances.

Word is, the offending bullet pulled from the police car is police issue. In addition, rumours have it being a dum-dum hollow point, which actually breaks all number of international laws.

I'm sure those Met' thugs just shot first and thought later. The police have been predicting a "summer of discontent" for the last two summers. It seems it actually came true this year. The shooting of the man (to be fair, he was a known, armed drug dealer) was the straw which broke the camel's back.

I wanna kill some scumbags, they've ruined a good part of my town. Angry doesn't even begin to cover it.
We need to man up and get our army in, fuck these idiots and their "human rights", they need a good coshing.

I don't doubt that the man didnt shoot first, but if i held a gun up in front of police i wouldnt have any complaints if they decided to shoot. As i said earlier though we don't know the full truth, i just find it odd that an armed man is considered an innocent or, even worse, a martyr.

Very true. However, there are procedures and protocols. I suppose an independent inquest will find the police officers unaccountable of breaking rules, but then again, they always do.

There is clear evidence of the Met' just beating Ian Tomlinson to the ground without any provocation, yet they still took ages in opening criminal proceedings. The Met' act with impunity because the CPS protects them.

Isn't it funny how different police authorities deal with armed men in different ways. Raoul Moat was tazered by Northumbria police, causing him to blow his own head off. The Met' just don't care: Shoot first, think later. Why? Because they can, that's why.

apparently leicester has taken a bit of a pounding tonight, and there was a firebomb attack of a nottingham police station earlier but I think it wasn't very effective. Thankfully its quietened down a lot.

anyone on Twitter, who are you following for this? journodave is very good for retweeting good stuff

The video on here is truely impressive.
If it doesn't want to make you go deliever some vigilante justice then I'm not sure what would.

‎"The Conservatives or whatever, whoever it is"
There's going to be so many shops closed down in the areas effected due to the "rich people" being so rich that they can't afford to open again and the only people that will suffer (other than the people that have lost their homes and business's) is these scumbags.
If they want to live in an even more deprived area then that's what they've created for themselves, but they will be the first to complain that no one has fixed all the damages.

This sense of entitlement that they think they deserve is completely outrageous, fucking spoilt little brats.

They should be made to do a year in the army or work in a hospital/old peoples home/hospice after leaving school like kids in other European countries do. I wouldn't have had a problem doing that myself, but I did get a job as soon as I left school and even while I was at school. Maybe they'd learn a little respect for others, for their country and themselves.

Hmm, so and armed man brandished a gun in front of police? Is there proof of this? Just curious. Either way the retards rioting are doing it for all the wrong reasons.

Is this whole thing really because a drug dealer with a gun  got shot?
