This year's edition of the Rock In Rio festival — which will take place September 23 - October 2 in "The City Of Rock" in Olympic Park, Barra da Tijuca/Rio de Janeiro, Brazil — will be streamed live via YouTube for fans outside of Brazil.

Among the acts scheduled to perform at this year's Rock In Rio are EVANESCENCE, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, GUNS N' ROSES, ANGRA, COHEED AND CAMBRIA, METALLICA, MOTÖRHEAD, SEPULTURA and SLIPKNOT.

The Rock In Rio festivals are massive events, drawing millions of people and a diverse roster of local and international artists.

A 10pm start in brazil means a 2am start in the UK and a 9pm start in NY.

Assuming guns play at a reasonable time i think i'll give it a bash. Beyond that, we're guaranteed a very good quality video pretty quickly, so its all good.

ha I remember we were watching a live stream on AOL [on the forum] and it kept cutting out. I was on the phone with Merck who then phoned AOL tech crew to fix the shit. then AOL, me and Merck texting messages. I saved RIR that year for audio :p

did you then tell merck to talk about the number of mondays till christmas? if so, you saved the audio but lost him his job.

Did anyone else watch the show from, i think, brazil that the guy streamed lived? Just went in with a camera that was online and streamed basically the whole show live. I'd like to buy that man a pint.

what date - specifically what day are guns playing? if i've got no work in the morning i'll be watching this! i remember the AOL stream too - it wasnt too bad for me. The Darkness played right before them also which was cool.

depends on what your connection can hold. I've watched UFC weigh ins live and they show it in HD (my connection is not that good download speed of 5mbps or less). Thanks for postig! Will look into it and hopefully they will let some videos on YouTube in case I miss it.
