Very cool pics as always! Thanks for posting guys  :)

In case anyone was wondering, I've seen a couple of posts in other places from people who went to the show saying that the setlist was the same as the night before.  Haven't found a full one yet though.

The venue looks full. Was it a sell-out gig?

Was not a sell out, the top was covered up. However it was a great crowd. The set list was mixed up a bit, no Nice Boys. And Ashba's solo was actually Ballad of Death.

It really is they do such a great job!!  :D

And no worries, I love videos :) I think GN'R are the only band where I can watch vids of all the same songs every day for a whole tour and not get bored lol.

http://news.cincinnati.com/article/20111203/ENT03/111203002/Review-Guns-N-Roses-US-Bank

At a quarter to 11, a time when the typical arena rocker would be bidding farewell to his audience, Axl Rose was saying, or shrieking, “Welcome.” Rose and the current version of Guns N’ Roses took the stage at U.S. Bank Arena late Friday night and departed early Saturday morning. Between coming and going in a span of nearly three hours, the hard-rock ensemble played about one cover for every two G N’ R originals during a sometimes-brilliant, sometimes-boring show.

The uneven quality of the show had more to do with song selections than personnel. These days Guns ‘N Roses features three guitarists, none of whom is Slash or Izzy Stradlin. But Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, DJ Ashba and Richard Fortus stayed true to the guitar playing on Guns’ 1987 breakthrough album “Appetite for Destruction.” And when the show unofficially kicked off with “Welcome to the Jungle” (after the first song of the night, “Chinese Democracy”) it was as if Slash was putting forth that larger-than-life, room-filling riff. Ashba seemed especially eager to walk in Slash’s boots. Like Slash, he favored a Les Paul and wore some sort of variation of the Slash top hat.

The band also featured ex-Replacements bassist Tommy Stinson, who took a turn fronting the band on a fine cover of the Dead Boys’ “Sonic Reducer”; drummer Frank Ferrer; and a pair of keyboard players, including Dizzy Reed, the longest-standing member of the band other than Rose. Reed stepped forward to play a baby grand on an instrumental version of the Who’s “Baby O’Riley” that led into the generic power ballad “Street of Dreams.”

That was not the end of the baby grand balladry. Rose himself took a seat at the bench to tap out a bit of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)” which segued into the endless “November Rain” – which will be remembered, if at all, not for the music but for the cascading fireworks that shot up from the stage and down from the rafters during the finale. Rose was a lot more fun running around the stage singing loud rock ‘n’ roll songs as if it were the late 1980s. “Appetite” tunes like “It’s So Easy,” “Mr. Brownstone,” “Rocket Queen” and “Paradise City” were highlights, with Rose’s voice sounding great and the man himself looking kind of cool, despite the Fu Manchu, the odd assortment of wide-brimmed hats, and the fact that he’s a quarter-century removed from doing those tunes for the first time. During “Nightrain” he ditched the hats and went with the widely folded bandana tied around his forehead for some real authentic flavor.

Rose and crew also busted out a couple of rockers from AC/DC, “Riff Raff” and “Whole Lotta Rosie.” They were fine, but couldn’t they have been swapped out for “You’re Crazy” and “My Michelle?” The longtime G N’R cover choice of “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” was basically filler, other than a couple vintage screams by Rose during the vocal break, and “Live and Let Die” recalled Paul McCartney’s version in the summer at Great American Ballpark: It was the moment in the show for which most of the pyrotechnics budget was earmarked. The arena was set in a ¾-house configuration, and several sections along the top of the bowl were made unavailable and covered by tarps. Most of the available seats appeared to be sold. Arena representatives did not provide attendance.
POOFFF!!! couldn't take it anymore, BP
