December 8th: Conseco Fieldhouse Indianapolis, IN
« on: October 14, 2011, 10:21:33 PM »
This was just announced via our local newspaper's website:

http://www.indystar.com/article/20111014/ENTERTAINMENT/111014022/Guns-N-Roses-plans-first-Indiana-show-19-years?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|IndyStar.com

It's not on Ticketbastard or LiveNation's sites yet so it looks like the newspaper may have jumped the gun a bit.  Definitely wasn't what I was expecting to read this evening but absolutely thrilled it has finally come to pass.  Axl is coming home, baby!!!  Finally a show I won't be required to get a hotel or drive for more than 20 minutes to go see.

The show is officially posted on ticketmaster. No pre-sale date listed yet. Tickets go on sale this Saturday to the public and there are 2 price ranges listed: $30 (then fees) and $75 (then fees). Looks like a pre-sale would be pretty important if we want to get good seats and not be on the floor. Hopefully there is...

Ugh...they need to hurry up with the password.  I want to kick off my weekend with a good score for a ticket (flying solo as these weekday shows do not allow the spouse to attend as well....parental responsibilities )

Going with the $30 tickets? I wonder if everything on the floor is 75 and the reserved seats somewhat near the stage will be 30. I have a feeling they won't be. I bet they try and charge 75 for the good reserved seats. I can't spend $75 on this show right now, so I guess I'll get on there right at 10 and see what $30 will get me.

I don't think the presale password will be up until morning.

I had to pay $100+ with taxes down here in the Caribbean, twice, for arena tickets. I'm not being sarcastic or anything when I say this- good luck!

I received an email from Conseco Fieldhouse alerting me to the password for their Ticketmaster presale.  That code is TWENTY.  I have an ongoing theory that the venue, Ticketmaster/Live Nation, and fan presales all expose different seats available to purchasers during the presale (experienced this with the MUSE presale...Live Nation had worse tickets from the "best available" option during the presale than Citi;s presale, yet the MUSE fan presale offered the best).  So going by that logic, I'm hoping the GnR presale password is released soon so that I can purchase using that, as going by previous experience, I'd have a much better chance of scoring up-close tickets in their presale pool than the other ones.  But regardless, there's the password I have so far for today's presale.

Well, I went with the Conseco password since GNR is so damn slow. I got lower level (middle $45 range) and Section 7, right on the aisle. Conseco isn't massive and that should be pretty good seat, so I can't complain.

WOO HOO!!!!  GA BABY!!!!!  Gonna squeeze my fat ass as close to the stage as possible.  Of course, now I have a ticket in section F-1 I don't need.  Anyone wanting this I'll sell at face value...no fees.

Section F-1, Row 8, Seat 10 - $75.00
