As usual, I can see it from both sides.

He was a ruthless bastard, who did unmentionably bad things to innocent people. However, if the NTC deal with their enemies by taking them out of a sewer and executing them with a bullet to the head, they are morally no better than the monster they replaced.

This was always going to be a manhunt ending in an execution. As Mooney said, the guy has too many truths to say about the west, and lots of powerful people wanted him dead.
