my mate keeps it in the fridge. he's mental, right. you don't keep bread in the fridge.

"just off to the fridge to get some bread"
"hey, if you're going to the shops can you go to the chilled section and get ne some bread"

just no.

What the fuck?  The fridge?
I could wile away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers
Consultin' with the rain
And my head I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain

We keep it in the fridge over here in Queensland during the summer because of it getting mouldy within days due to the humidity.

So yeah, I'm just gonna go put that bread back in the fridge.

this is Scotland though. we don't get heat and the closest we get to humidity is when somebody does a wet fart.

Too many different kinds of bread, specify. I like bread that tastes like burned wood -- this great taste that goes smoothly with whiskey, smoked salmon, cohibas and all that fucking shit you'll find in the fridge 'round new year's eve.

freezer is perfectly acceptable. clever even.

If you need to put bread in the fridge to give you long enough to eat it, then you're buying too much bread.

Depends where in the world you are.  I never used to do it in Jersey.... neither did my dad.  but in Florida it goes to fridge right away.  I asked why one day and he said here you have to as it won't last.   2Na have ever you ever witnessed tropical florida in June July August?   anyway its a must. Even for fresh bread you want to last a couple days as it will turn green in 2 days if you don't.

West Coast  not Disney :D   West Coast you melt after 10 minutes doing nothing not from heat but the humidity and yea literally.

I know Scoootland..    just giving my 2 posts worth.  To be fair its closer to the butter or meat..  or maybe he has had bad experience with yeast

We store the bread in the fridge too. Just because we don't eat much bread though and this way lasts longer. I don't eat it cold though.
