We keep it in the fridge over here in Queensland during the summer because of it getting mouldy within days due to the humidity.

So yeah, I'm just gonna go put that bread back in the fridge.

Depends where in the world you are.  I never used to do it in Jersey.... neither did my dad.  but in Florida it goes to fridge right away.  I asked why one day and he said here you have to as it won't last.   2Na have ever you ever witnessed tropical florida in June July August?   anyway its a must. Even for fresh bread you want to last a couple days as it will turn green in 2 days if you don't.

West Coast  not Disney    West Coast you melt after 10 minutes doing nothing not from heat but the humidity and yea literally.

Weather down here has been absolutely horrendous for the past several months. Really hot, really humid, and it's been raining darn near every day for the past month or two. Thankfully yesterday and today we've been lucky enough to get a cold front and top out at 80 with a low of 65 and plenty of cool breezes all around.

So true!  I'm a native Floridian.  Even though I live in Pennsylvania now, I still keep the bread in the fridge out of habit.
