compared to UYI and AFD YES "CD" did not well on the music market but CD were No1 in
European Top 100 ,Argentina Albums Chart ,Canadian Albums Chart, Finnish Albums Chart, New Zealand Albums Chart, Polish Albums Chart
Slovene Albums Chart, Swiss Albums Chart.. and sold triple platinum in Canada and Platinum in Finland, Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Romania, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.


but I completely agree with the lack of advertising.. like you said CD would have done more sales if there were  better promotion n stuff...

BTW Greatest Hits isn't just Slash.. I would say it's Axl Slash Duff Izzy Adler together creating magic.
IMO there were never "Oh Axl are the devil himself and kicked everybody out of the band" shit.
Axl had his demons inside of him that make him hard to be with sometimes. and slash were a heavy drug user and a alcoholic. Duff - boose all day and drugs - Adler drugs drugs drugs. izzy don't want stadium tours and all that big fame. well there you have it! they ALL were the "bad guy" in this so called divorce.
that's just my point of view.. I hope my spelling/grammar are okey.. =)

well. chinese democracy sold at least a million worldwide. but in america, cd1 barely cracked 500 k. it's pretty low. like spaghetti incident numbers lol yeah. no promotion or buzz in advance by bestbuy or axl himself did in the record for sales. axl had hands on promotion with illusions. there was a line a mile wide at midnight at tower records for illusions. the you could be mine music video. the you could be mine and don't cry mega singles on the charts. axl rose had everything rolling with guns n roses in the 90's. something happened, the same magic didn't occur for the guys post slash. it never happened for the star of the chinese democracy record "robin finck" either...

Keep the leaks, I wouldn't mind hearing something new played live, but I would rather wait for the album to be released and hear it all according to Axl's vision. We all know there will be something great to expect, and this tour should really build up interest. 2012 looks like a great year !

we don't know if cd2 is 2012. we know another tour through summer and fall is 2012. we have no clue about cd2. but we can expect robin finck, brain, and buckethead on cd2. future albums down the line will headline dj ashba, frank, and bumlefoot. right now, axl's chinese democracy vision is the chinese democracy guys: brain, robin, and bucket

As we all know, the problem with the time it took to get Chinese out wasn't based on Axl's shortcomings, but rather on legal claims, organizational development hell and other complicated factors. So when people cry about the lack of promotion or "the lack of Axl's dedication to promote the released product" I think it's pretty easy to understand that if you're putting your heart and soul into something for so many years and some company just takes it away from you and makes it available to the public in a shape and a form you don't really agree with... you'd be fucking pissed off, wouldn't you? 

The main problem was, that no one outside of our little fanbase recognized the release and the date just passed. Over here in germany not ONE of the songs off CD got any radio airplay. If I ask 'em [the biggest rock station in the country] via FB-request to play the song "Chinese Democracy", which was a true official single in a more traditional sense so you might think they can fucking play it, they don't even bother to reply. Pretty sad imho.

I hope we'll see another, proper produced, more cohesive new album soon. It's about time people get a chance to experience one of the biggest monsters in rock music at a new peak of their band history

i don't know for sure. like i don't know for sure whether robin left on his own or axl fired him. axl isn't talking about robin. robin isn't talking. haven't even heard from robin on his experiences makin the chinese democracy album. there's a lot of uncertainty there too

i don't know for sure but i go by what's axl said online. online, axl's said the 12 or songs already recorded have brain, robin finck, and buckethead on them. i go by what axl says! right from the horses mouth!
