At the end of the day, Axl cant make anyone stay if they choose not to, if finky decided to leave, which he did, then that is that, just move on, DJ is in now, he has took this band to a new level, their chemistry is amazing on stage, and his playing is immense, and much better than Robin. Robin had commitments with NIN which I think is where he is best suited.

I am pretty sure Robin left to rejoin NIN, it makes sense since CD was released he knew his job was done, all recordings were complete, there was nothing else tying him to GN'R.
