I know the sentiment is positive, but why do people keep writing, "considering his age"?

It's being nice...But fine..Considering his size..

I think I'd rather listen to the recent bootlegs with Axl's voice now that he's put on a few pounds rather than the bootleg from the early vegas comeback where he was rocking a six pack and no shirt.  His voice is in much better shape now.  As for his size  I think it's mostly beer weight anyway..

I think he still sounds great.  Different, but still good.  Of course age is going to be a factor.  It is for everything and everyone.  Time = wear and tear.  Movement makes a difference, too, like Mooney pointed out. 

Don't let the haters get to you.  They're just cranky that they're not talented.  If they had something constructive to do with their lives they wouldn't have time to be hating.

Jimb0 I love this thread ! Very great points and deffinatly agree! I don't have time to get "in deep" right now with my thoughts/opinion on this! *and also typing from a phone * but you are right 2011 he nailed jungle every damn time and when he wanted too! I do believe rocket queen/YCBM/TIL were delivered with more "safe technique"  this last time around And rightfully so for 3 hr show every night! Amazing talent 
But I checked out some Dublin bootlegs and he sounds like he did in 88!;)

Notice how standing still has a huge impact on his voice rather than running around like a lunatic snake dancing across the stage while singing? He's simply too told to do both now..He can maintain his voice range however by just taking it easy..

This is exactly why I loved those intimate performances back in 2010 in February in New York. He wasnt running around because they was no room to. My favorite vocal performance by Axl and I think we're in for a treat when they start their little run with more intimate performances this week.

Axl's voice is awesome now, in very early gnr days there was a lot of screchin but the way the band and axl sounds now blows u away at live shows. fuck the haters they just wanna bum slash

cool vid n nice to see comparisons, this will prob cause a few replys but i prefer 2011, the band seem more 'together' and seem really tight....axl sounds way better to me now
