FANTASY STYLE PAINTINGS
« on: March 24, 2011, 03:35:51 AM »
Sometimes I like that fantasy style, sometimes I just love it.
Ana Fagarazzi in my tribute to Chinese Democracy.

"The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater. "

I like it too, however I dare questioning how much of an artist you are when all you do is digital pictures. I mean, I like it, but it doesnt demand so much talent as when you paint with oils, acrylic, pencils, the handmade sort of art.

maybe you'll like this guy, he's also into fantasy digital art and I gotta admit i love these pictures:

his name is   kagaya   http://www.kagayastudio.com/english/

as for more fantasy works, this other painter is trully one of my heroes, his name is Ciruelo, he's worked for and sold pictures to George Lukas and he paints with oils in a realistic style dragons and epic images:

Surely agreed. In that case pastel technique seems to be most interesting, as mycropieces of master's hand's skin get left in the facture of an artpiece. Today's technologies allow making the work high and preserving it for a long period of time.

 As for dragon's year - a little bit kinda off topic link.

wow, that snow dragon is fucking cool!!!
