guy sells his soul to the devil in exchange for the power of knowledge, things go well for a while, then it all goes down the shitter

it's a renaissance dramatic adaption of an old german folk tale, i prefer the original version

ARGH! I'm reading too much! I'm reading stuff by Gregory Maguire, Philip K Dick, Aleister Crowley, HP Lovecraft, Anne Rice...shitloads! And my sisters lent me her AS Level psychology text book which I'm also reading...and enjoying! I might become a psychologist when I'm older.

Just started reading "My Life" by noone else than the great Clinton. To be honest, the only reason for why I am reading it is that I'm short on doe and don't have any other books at home that I haven't read :(
Well, atleast I can convince myself that I want to read this book and that it'll be a rewarding one.

Since I got into Lovecraft, I've found it impossible to read books by modern horror authors. I've regressed further in time to find stories with the same style of writing as his, and am getting more and more into the writers that inspired him - like Arthur Machen, Lord Dunsany, Poe, Sheridan le Fanu and of course the God that is Algernon Blackwood.

Because I can no longer interpret common English it all just seems silly to me. Salem's Lot used to be my favourite Stephen King book, but I tried to read it again for the first time since I discovered Lovecraft, and the writing seemed really juvenile, boring and boderline stupid. It's not like me to dump a book in disgust, but that's what I did.

These days any fucking dumb ass can claim to be a psychologist, I think you're smart enough to be a real Psychiatrist, not just another idiot who sits in a stupid chair giving false analyses to attention seeking morons. As a Psychiatrist you get to deal with the real crazy people ; they're so much more fun !
