I think he must never be allowed to put out another record - ever,
because he just jacks off with a guitar and records it, claiming it's music.

People either Love him or hate him.
Steve Vai is the best guitarist around. His songwriting leaves a lot to be desired but his playing is unbeatable. I saw him on the G3 tour last year and he was amazing. Total control over his instrument, no sour notes...just perfection.

Technically, yes, he's unparalleled right now, I guess, but that doesn't make his playing listenable.

Has anyone seen the movie with him and that "Karate Kid" douche bag?  Vai plays the devil I think.  Kid challenges him to a guitar duel w/ their guitars for his soul?  Vai fuckin' shredded that guitar!
