What is this Place?
« on: April 04, 2005, 02:45:00 AM »
What is this place? It kind of manifested from my old forum at gunsnroses.us many years ago. The board then was called " Space Brain " .

So I have been constantly asked by artist's, writers, etc...  to re-open ' Space Brain '  & I always promised I would. Its for creative people to enjoy & share there artsy love.

This Forum is going to be heavily moderated to keep it civilized. I know that I am embarrassed at times to release my own art & we will work to keep the experience most comforting for members.

Please, if you have any ideas or questions....  Please share in this thread.  Everybody can view so they can get an idea of what the 'East Village' is all about.

What are your current thoughts about Kurt Cobain?

Axl: I said I'm going on ChiDem now and he said whatever & walked away other than that I've been busy.

When cocksalad.com & gunsnroses.us decided to merge it's forum base in 2003, things slightly changed because we rebuilt a new board from scratch for the merger. At that time we were swamped with fans & it was decided that we would hold off on openning " space brain" untill we got a good hold of the forum & to work out it's practices being we had a big merger with new people.

So I have been constantly asked by artist's, writers, etc...  to re-open ' Space Brain '  & I always promised I would. sladdi & I have worked out a format for this this forum now to be more than just a writers forum. Its for creative people to enjoy & share there artsy love.

ahhhhhhh BP... you've created me a little home within a home.... my stuff is coming this week coming, once everything slows down for me here :)
I'm dying to catch my breath, oh why don't I ever learn, I've lost all my trust, though I have surely tried to turn it around... can you still see the heart of me?

I lv GNR bc it is one of the few bands that creates meaningful music. I am not a musician and don't know the technicalities or much on how their songs really came about but there really isn't one that doesn't blow me away. Ive been listening to GNR for a long time, but in the last 2 years Ive been really thinking about these songs and Im always surprised by the depth in them. Most people aren't aware, I think ,bc ths songs mostly rock.

So all you writers and artists, what's your fave GNR song and why?

FOR AXL (THE BLUES)

I am not a mechanism, an assembly of various sections.
And it is not because the mechanism is working wrongly
that I am ill.
I am ill bc of wounds to the soul, to the deep emotional
self
and the wounds to the soul take a long, long time,
only time can help
and patience, and a certain difficult reluctance
long, difficult reluctance, realisation of life's mistakes, adn
the freeing oneself
from the endless repetion of the mistake
which mankind at large has chosen to sanctify.
Modern society is like a mill, that grinds life very small.
