Death penalty, or not?

I live in Sweden, and jailtime here is a fuckin joke. You drink and drive, and run over a kid and his mother, you get like a year and therapy, and AA. In swedish jails they sit around in what could have been a fuckin motel room in some shitty country with playstation, computer education and paycheck. Jails in Sweden have better food then the kids in school has. Too many people in sweden that commit horrible crimes get mental care. You hear it all the time. Rapist, mental care. Child molestors, mental care and probation. Murderers, mental care. And I cant count the times that I or someone O know: Give him the fuckin chair.

My opinion is that we should have the deathpenalty, but the crime has to be proven to a 100% and linked to the suspect through DNA traces or something thats solid proof.

It just pisses me off. Like this fucking mental case (and thats another thing going on here, the gouverment is saving money cuz the last ten years the democrats has run this country down the fuckin drain) that was released cuz they are closing the mental institutes and letting hostile and dangerous people out. Anyway this horrible piece of shit walked up to a kindergarden and stabbed a 5 year old girl in the back multiple times. And what does he get? Care with possibility to get out.

Another case. Male (now 56) murdered and raped 2 young girls 10 years ago. And can you guess what this fucker gets? A few years with probation.

Now, I know that there's cases of innocent people being put in the chair in the states. But like I said, 100%. I dont live in America so I cant really express my opinion about the death penalty in the US:

But Im saying that Sweden really needs to put more people away for life. And put some of them in the chair. People like rapists and child molestors. I dont care if they can be cured, they fucked someone up for life. My opinion, now share yours

The death penalty is absolutely stupid.  Life sentences for crimes such as murder would make a whole hell of a lot more sense.  They should be made to suffer in, like, solitary confinement for the rest of their lives or made to do all kinds of work for the community.  The death penalty solves nothing.  The whole "eye for an eye" thing solves nothing.  Unfortunately, we will probably never see an end to it.

yeah but life sentence in this world, nowadays, usually means 20 yrs and after that maybe another five and theyre out again. i not saying that the death penalty is right, its a very sketchy subject and lotsa people get edgy about it.
i think that death penalty should be saved for severe cases, not just the one murder, i think that would be making yourself as bad as the muderer themself. and one muder should get you life, and i mean life. the stuff tat is happening now where murderers are getting back out on the street and reoffending is sick, but i also appreciate that some people after mudering someone really honestly feel sick about it. i think these people should be given another chance but here rises a problem of how do you know who really regrets it.
other offenders should be given community service and give something back to society. as well as counselling and having a constant eye over them to make sure theyre not misbehaving.

No to Death Penalty. No matter how much damage anybody has done, they deserve one more chance. But it depends on the crime. Murder, Child molestation, rape, and other kinds of life threatening violence should be life time penalty.

My personal believe is that it serves no one no matter how relieving to kill off the murders. It's an eye for an eye. Then the state is no better than the killer. If you kill a person, you are a muderer, no matter what the law says! And no matter WHO it is. Death penalty like the lethal injection or the electric chair or what else we have, is so wrong and stupid! I see it like this: The only way to cut down population is by killing the murderes, so there'll be more room fore more criminals. It's a fuckin' drag! That's what it is.

Oh, and while we're at it: Prisons are stupid as well here in Denmark. Because if you're sentenced for a crime, and you're not that great a criminal, then by the end you're released, you have learned a few new tricks, so you can go out and do some more crime. Once you've been released, you don't get a chance to get a job, or take an education or even a job sweeping streets clean!!! You're on parol, and you better hope that you don't end up back in jail again! You're forced to do crime over and over again because society don't give a criminal one more chance to get a better life.

On the other hand, there ARE those who fucked up their own life, doing drugs, selling drugs, robbing houses, or what else. Some never learn even though they get a fair chance. These people should be jailed for a VERY LONG time depending on the gravity of their crime.

Death penalty is stupid because if you have been wrongfully accused, and if your life is taken, then afterwards it's a pretty lame feeling when they find out that he/she never comitted the crime at all!

Hell yeah.  Kill them all.  Its not like once you commit the crime you get it. You have to go through a lot of BS to actually be killed.  And usually your crime is really...really serious.  Most people who are given the choice actually look foward to death.  The more criminals die the better.  I actually think criminals are not getting punnished enough as is. Its too easy to get out of jail with all the loopholes pussies have put in place. And Im not surprised that 75% of the people here voted no.
