Axl himself would probably disagree with you on this one. If not, he would have agreed with slash and released the Snakepit material as the next GNR record.

I am a huge Axl Rose/GNR fan, but I know excellent music when I hear it. So did Axl.

It would take Axl 25 years to write Yellow Ledbetter, Given to Fly, Man of the Hour, etc. And another 30 years to learn how to get along with the musicians he needs to play the stuff.

It's just how it is ...

maybe you're true but wait...

   Of Course axl's Recording process take a long time but I Prefer to listen to an album that none of the tracks Sucks than listening to an album which has one hit and other tracks are bullshit

Contraband is not a bad album. It's not Guns N' Roses but it's not supposed to sound like GnR.Why don't you visit the VR forum and see all the posotive responces they are getting. VR is selling out shows all across the world so I think it's safe to say they are making good music.

Guns will and always have been the best, VR is a stand out album as it has good songs on it, the band work well together, i firmly believe axls stuff is and will be better, listen to slashs snakepit/duffs believe in me etc, not great? but axls stuff so far, the blues/madagascar etc, stand out as classic songs if they ever DO get released, i am a big fan of all music and of guns/vr etc, but even im tired of the waiting!!

VR is on all the reviews.....ex Guns n roses....and later they say superband , Matt and Slash said we don't wanted succes....but they spend 3 million in promotion....they are selling so much? they only sold 3,000,000 million greatest hits sold 6,000,000 million...also VR played in barcelona for only 2,000 people....want more?

If Axl donÂt release any album, we never know if itÂs a good or bad album... i donÂt understand why itÂs takin so long. I think Axl must feel really frustrated as an artist, i think heÂs trying to make the bestÂs album ever... he should release his work and accept the bad or good critics and move on!!!!

I am a noob here but not a noob to GNR forums. I think Axl is frustrated and also thrives on perfection and if the album isn't perfect in his eyes, he won't release it.   Then there are those who beleive it's the lawsuits that are holding things up.  Hopefully this will be Axl's year..but we don't have much time left.
