How come Bucketsixx?
Don't want to see them or they don't play near you?

Neither ; he's just too busy buying dildos to go see them.

misterbrownstone, I've listened to Contraband more than a rational person can handle and it's safe to say Slash is as much of a guitar god now as he was in Guns N' Roses, if not more. His work is mature now, none of that twirly nonsense he was doing live in GN'R.

all the songs are average at best. all of the solos were easy to learn.  fall to pieces is a slower version of yesterdays and SCOM: duff plays teh same cool bass stuff, during the verse slash/dave kushner (who is this guy, anyway?) play a lot of the same "beautiful" guitar parts.  then after the chorus, slash plays a riff oddly similiar to the famous SCOM riff.  then plays a mediocre solo.  scott weiland was good with STP, but not ex Gunners.  ALSO!  a lot of the songs are a lot the same.  dirty little thing?  a slightly more listenable version of sucker train blues (which isn't even remotley close to the blues).  set me free is a wanna be version of Axl's voice in It's So Easy.  if you wanna hear weiland sound decent listen to STP's cover of Zep's Dancing Days.  or if you haven't already done yourself the favor, check out STP's core!  excellent stuff there.  but scott should be banned from the hard rock/metal genre that trash, fluff and fatt are used to playin.  scott's past work with a grunge band mixed with metal does not work well, and can only work well if you're Alice In Chains.

there's my very poorly organized rant on why i dislike VR musically.  i won't even get into the whole moral reasons etc.

i'd like to here how morality affects it too but,  you can't deny the songs if you don't like them but you can't deny the musicmanship.  Slash has gotten better with every album he has release, he is just a little more tame now. but if you actually play guitar you would realize that almost any guitarist, not matter how great has consistencys throughout music.  Slash uses the octave thing in a lot of riffs not just scom and fall to pieces.  and if you can't tell me that you got no right doesn't have a good solo in it

anyhow don't tease bp!! (you and slash and duff are a potent draw!) otherwise one of these days I'll fork over the greyhound money i don't have ( :lol2: ) and surprise you!
