Question: What the hell does a witness do at a wedding?

I've been forced into this role next Tuesday. I hardly know the guy, but he put me on a guilt trip. Him and his lady are foreigners....I just don't want to get involved in any hassle from a legal standpoint...like if he's not supposed to be in the country or something...or on some kind of fake visa, and I've gone and uh...'witnessed' him get married....

hmmmm  i'm gonna hold back on this one.   but u couldn't do nearly as worse as mine in which he was also there for convenience, but he got a free vacation out of it.  ended up extorting.  sociopath jealousy issues over the marriage. breaking boundaries to leach off anything free he could get as a result.  When the pen didn't work at the alter .....  I knew something was up....   and when I almost passed out due to the Greek priest's words was like an exorcism on my soul, I knew somebody was trying to tell me........  curse in thy room!!!!     

The afterparty was great though.... best wedding after-party ever seen.  I'm sure you'll do great.

This reminds me....I need to pay to get down to this wedding too. I'm looking at £25 for a train ticket. PLUS....it's at 10am....so I need to get an 8.20am train. Then the party doesn't start until 7PM!!! WTF am I supposed to do for about 8 hours?!!! Added to the fact that I hardly know the guy apart from small talk at work. I don't want his big day getting fucked because he can't find a witness though...and he's basically said he doesn't know anyone else that could do it. Looks like I'm cornered into it.....

Pretty much, at least here in the States.  Don't worry, bucketsixx, if he goes bonkers and does something like the guy Sean witnessed for (or is in the country illegally), you won't be held responsible.  At least, I don't think so.  You wouldn't here in the U.S., anyway...

I have been having some nutty dreams lately. It isn't too much cheese, maybe the protein I am taking. Anyway, I dreamt last night that I was at a private party at a friend's high rise apartment. Dizzy was hanging out smoking cigarettes on the balcony, and he was pretty drunk. Bumblefoot was inside chatting away and he was the nicest dude ever. Only I knew out of the whole party who they were, and they were stoked that I knew GnR. They gave me heaps of insights cos I ended up chatting to both of them separtely. I got details on the next album (it isn't called Red Panda), where the leaks came from, what Axl is really like (nut-case), and what Slash is like.

Fucking weird.

In the kitchen where the bar was there was a clown who would jump out and scare you every time you walked past.
