The song was released on Charles Manson's solo album, "Look At Your Game Girl," in 1968.  Manson was credited with writing the song, although persistent rumors abound that Dennis Wilson (a Beach Boy and Manson's friend at the time) actually wrote it.  To this day, it is unknown whether Manson or Wilson actually wrote it.

As Axl and Slash have both said in the past, and has been reported before and after they made those statements, there is a good chance that Dennis Wilson actually wrote the song, although it is not known for sure.

Yes its a good song, but comming from that animal I dont know..dont Understand Axls support for the guy or as Axl puts it...My Art. He promoted manson with the T-SHIRT, to me its the same as wearing a HItler shirt during the whole tour.

All I know is that the world was so much better back in the days that music rulled the air ways music such as anything from Guns N Roses, skidrow, fasterpussy cat or danzig rulled as aposed to now we have a couple makeshift bands that sound ok but most of the music of today is that candy ass pop shit or it bumps and I don`t mean the snow flakes of yesterdayl. I call out to you AXL the musical world needs a strong knight to save it but hell we would be happy with a strangy redhaired rocker that would flip a bird to uncle sam. I still don't know who they are. The guy on the guitar is someone named Carlos Booy, a friend of Axl. The bongos were played by Dizzy.
