i've just heard Core (great album), and i own their greatest hits album, but you're set with those 2 albums. From what I hear those are their best albums and all the STP albums after those were garbage.

VELVET REVOLVER AND STONE TEMPLE PILOTS TO SHARE STAGE
Velvet Revolver and Stone Temple Pilots will be onstage together for the first time on August 18th, 2006, when both bands tape a tribute to their shared lead singer, Scott Weiland, for the VH1 Classic series, Decades Rock Live!. According to VH1.com, the show will be taped at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey. There's no word yet on what songs will be performed or what other artists will appear on the program. Weiland joined Velvet Revolver in 2003, two years after Stone Temple Pilots released its final studio album, Shangri-La Dee Da. Weiland first rose to stardom with Stone Temple Pilots in the Nineties, although his constant and well-publicized drug arrests slowed the group down in the latter half of its career. STP guitarist Dean DeLeo and bassist Robert DeLeo recently formed a new group called Army Of Anyone with Filter frontman Richard Patrick. Weiland participated in an episode of Decades Rock Live! dedicated to singer Cyndi Lauper, which premieres this Sunday (January 1st) at midnight. Velvet Revolver plays a New Year's Eve show tomorrow night (Saturday, December 31st) in Sayreville, New Jersey. The band is currently working on the follow-up to its 2004 debut disc, "

Axl: I said I'm going on ChiDem now and he said whatever & walked away other than that I've been busy.

it is a bad thing b/c STP was a great band with a lot of potential but Scott ruined it with his run ins with the law and his reoccuring stints in rehab for his drug problems.
