it is axl, bad quality probably, or just bad singing, he had a few of those nights during the 2001-2002 tours

At Some concerts during the 2002 world tour his voice was better than ever, like in Pukkelpop and in the London Arena, but his voice was clearly fucked up during their North American tour...

He didn't have fuckin nose surgery. He gained some weight, put on a few pounds. Hell...he is over 40 years old now. I remember when the tour was happening and I heard reports on the radio, KSJO out of San Francisco that he blew out his voice on the North American leg of the tour. I was supposed to see them on new years eve at Sharks stadium in San Jose. They cancelled the show and everyone got their money back.

i think he can still use his raspy voice, he is prolly just sick of leaving a concert being unable to talk and waking up with a sore throat, im sure if he'd wanted to use it, he would have, in the 2002 mtv vma awards appaearance, in some spots, he used it, he's definitely capable  =/

although smoking is a hazard to your health, there is only 2% you will die from smoking.
