Finck- the most loyal
« on: January 12, 2006, 11:50:11 AM »
This guy must be getting a real FAT check every month or heÂs the most loyal band member, well after returining to GNR from NIN he hasnt given an interview or worked with anyother artist, IÂd say he has sunken his teath in this album almost as much as the red haired one.

yea, I was thinking about Finck today morning. I wonder what the guitars at ChD can be... it's been 2 years since Buckethead's departure, MAYBE they removed most or all his parts and the whole thing is played by Finck and Fortus, which can be interesting. I heard some projects Fortus was involved in, Love Spit Love sounds great... and yea, I really like The Fragile by NIN. Robin Finck is very experienced player, he's been with GNR for nearly TEN YEARS. yes, I think he considers ChD to be his baby, as much as red haired one. if I watch videos from 2001-2002 era, this band seemed to be really interested in what they were doing, they seemed to be in good spirit, seemed to really enjoy playing the stuff... hell I'd like to hear all the studio stuff some day...

Dispite the fact that he went back to NIN for nearly a year in between 1999-2000

what about dizzy?  he'll when he plays out without axl he still plays a ton of guns songs.  the most surprising was bad obsession.  i think they are all loyal, just waiting like the rest of us in hopes that more time = a better product.

Teeth even.

Considering Diz-E has been a member since 91, and hasn't even had a chance to shine properly [his contribution to the Illusions was minimal] I'd say he's either the most loyal ... or the most stupid, depending on how you feel about waiting for this fictional album.

Robin Finck quit the band for Fragility Tour with NIN, I think... years 1999-2000 or so, then returned back to GN'R. nothing else, he's still a member of GN'R

well when I talk about loyalty obviously im saying Finck doesnt go around doing "bar" gigs and have side bands except for that brief NIN tour. DIzzy has been putting together shitty side bands for a while.

Now you're being silly.  You expect a musician to sit around an not play music?  Performing live is something these guys love to do,

that's right!

moreover, the Dizzy's side bands are not in competition with Guns, then he's still loyal, as the other members are.

Jeordie White (known as Twiggy Ramirez, ex- Marilyn Manson) played bass at Halo 19 - With Teeth, maybe that caused your confusion. also Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, ex- Nirvana) helped with drums. Guitars at this album were made by Trent Reznor himself, current NIN guitarist is Aaron North (I'm not sure if he plays at studio album but he's playing lead guitars on concerts)

theres a downside to dizzy being in the band you know =/ have you heard silkworms? well in comparison to other new material its like techno garbage.. he's a bad influence unless he's playing the piano as in the blues and whatnot, if gnr goes techno, or records MORE like silkworms, axl will have fucked the band, and it wont sell a CD, but on the other hand madagascar was good, dizzy did well there... eh.. trivial up sides n down sides
