So I finally had a chance to hear what is close to presumably the final version... I've been a rabid fan like most of us for a long time, but I still see that not all the songs are exactly worth the 13 year wait....  If I was Axl I would have released the album with quite a few less songs:

1 Better
2 The Blues (refuse to call it street of dreams)
3 There was a time
4. Catcher in the Rye
5 Scraped
6 Rhiad and the Bedouins
7 Madagascar
8 This I love
9 Prostitute

Guess it couldn't be called 'Chinese Democracy' though.   If you were Axl what would the track list be?

Nothing....theres not a bad song on this album....some weaker than others, yes...but not a song that I would skip..

and the old version of citr should replace the new muddled overdone version

Sheesh, take it easy man, its not that bad. Its pretty good in my opinion.

In my opinion, I like the album the way it is.

It's cool. I like it because lyrically it reminds me of many important people in my life, some of who aren't with me any longer, I think that its one of the songs that half will love it, and half will have a deep burning hatred for it! lol.

Sahcklers Revenge in my opinion is a mess, the worst song...i would love to hear Silkworms.

I'm glad this thread was started.  First off, let me say that this isn't BASHING, BEING NEGATIVE, HATING, on anyyy of the material.  I'm a diehard and it's a non-biased, constructive criticism kinda thing.
My biggest dissapointment is and will be CITR.

That song from 99' was AMAZING.  08' Version, AVERAGE at best.  Way to many guitars and overproduced.  
If the World is an obvious filler and This I Love IS NOT AMAZING like some people believe.  Is it good?, Sure, just not GREAT.
Chinese Democracy, THE BLUES, Prostitute, IRS, Better...all great.
If i had to rate i would def say 4 or 4 1/2 out of 5.

Again, biggest dissapointments are CITR and If the World.

replace If The World with Silkworms.

and for god sake replace the overproduced TWAT with the old 2002ish one. The one that had thundering piano, none of this church crap.

TWAT was better before Ron Touched it.
Ron and robin butcher the CITR solos, not sure why he didnt just use the leaked version just the clean version
I think this i love is great,not sure why people dont like that track.
Chinese went from being a GREAT album (the leaked version of the songs) to a very good album.

I hate: the album version of Twat, irs and Madagascar ( i don't really hate them, but they should have been more worked up for the album
