fuck you to the people who downloaded the leaked album, only to complain "Axls so STUPID for the maddy vocals!" "This is SOOOO overproduced!"

Maddy needs to sound rugged, raw. Thats what the vocals deliver.

And also, you think after all this time were gonna have a stripped down album? I want decadent and overblown Guns N' Roses, the kind Illusion only hinted at. Which, by the way, was 'overproduced' as well.

the thing about ron that bugs me is that all his added parts just sound rushed to me. they're good, but that's only because he's such a good musician. it sounds like axl just hired this guy to come in a quickly add a bunch of cool crap to his album before he puts it out. although, i really do like what he did with chinese democracy the song.

for me CITR should not have even come close to making the album
I.R.S. and If the World are decent, but could be considered filler, perhaps scraped as well.

They should all be on the final cut.  Because much like UYI, I've noticed everyone has really differing views on what songs are the best.  There are certain songs, like IRS, Riad, This I Love, Prostitute, that are ending up as the best on some peoples lists and the worst on others

This is a real old school album, in that it's meant to be judged as a whole product, not song by song

Yeah defianlty... I feel blessed that I at least like every song and LOVE most. I actually would have a tough time trying to pick my favs because you cant really compare IRS with the Blues with CD or anything else

I'm with the man on This I Love. I also used to hate Shackler's Revenge but I guess the chorus is pretty cool.

Oh My God is one I wish was included, and hearing a new version of Silkworms would be decent. Apart from that, it's a pretty good album. I've heard better, but it's nothing to be disappointed with.

and I think the chorus is the worst thing at Shackler. as we can see here again, the album is very variegated. everyone can find his favourite tracks. and that's amazing, because nowadays most albums have like 1 or 2 hits and the rest is crap.

I'm glad all of the songs made the cut. Nearly every song on the album is a grower, the number of good/great songs on the album varies according to taste but I think that all of them are more than worthy of inclusion and likely all of them will be appreciated eventually.

My opinion on the new mix of CITR is that it really, really helps to keep the song moving forward. The demo was good but it did meander and eventually drag, the new mix solves that.

fuck you haters. if the booklet stated May is still there, you would love the song, altough the guitars could be played by the first bum found onstreet. I consider retarded that some of you love/hate the song not because the song, but because May is/is not playing there. stupid.

I think the album is great the way it is, i would have preferred it maybe with a couple more of rockers but still great.

CITR sound better now i love the 'La La' parts. The solo is still good, not brian may good but good.

yeah... CITR is the best fucking song imo on the fucking record.. it's epic because it's different!!!
you dont hear songs like that coming out anymore do you ?? it's like queen mixed with industrial (hard) rock and the guitar solos are amazing and the ending is out of this world.

I totally agree with zombux, 95% of bashers hate the song only because brian may isnt on it (except the man 'cos he is so cool that he can hate everything he wants just for fun biggrin ). And seriously how there's too many guitars ?? I can hear them all perfectly and it doesnt sound muddy. It's perfect the way it is  rockon just my opinnion
