With most of the vocals are being EXACTLY the same I sorta come to asking myself
what has happened in the meantime. It almost seems like Chinese Democracy was ready
to be released in 2002 when GNR played their show at the VMAs. But it didn't really work
out then, so Axl went on a prolonged holiday and said "like y'know update those guitar
parts every year or so to keep them massive and avantgarde."

I really love the vocals of I.R.S. but they were laid down in or before 1999, so that's
almost a decade. Basically, I just think it was a lame thing to say that those songs
were "rough demos".
It wouldn't have hurt anyone if they would've been true and said "Ok, those WERE the
actual songs, but we're on it and we're redoing them.". It really looks like that the whole
thing was only seen from a marketing perspective -- and maybe Sqwerl tried to blow that
little party and went behind bars for trying.
Chinese Democracy is a very good record. To be true: the best I've heard since many years.
But simply trying to cover things up to score more money can't get any sympathy from me
